Landscape Hoops 2021
Returning to using watercolours my most recent body of work has allowed me to revisit to my love of painting abstract natural forms, flora and fauna. The use of embroidery hoops was originally intended as a practical one – to act as a paper stretcher and questions the boundaries between arts and crafts.
These gentle landcscapes are also exploring and responding to the theme of climate change, decay and erosion.
