Paper & Wire

Having been involved in jewellery making for more than a decade I still hold a strong desire to create distinctive statement pieces that are wearable works of art. I was determined to master the complex art of wirework and within a few years I became one of the first well established copper wirework artists in the UK at the time.

Ten years later, I transitioned into using paper as my primary material. I repurposed leftover pieces from my art, discovered and recycled wallpapers, gift wraps and made my own homemade waterproof papers.

During lockdown including colour in my work became important to me. Paper gave me so much scope to add hand drawn patterns and illustration as well as create with inks and paints. It was at this time that my work really started to evolve to include paper bowls and vessels.
